    I heard Howard Zinn late in 2009 when he came to my school during a conference hosted by NYU. He was promoting the History Channel's "The People Speak" and spoke so eloquently. It's sad thing knowing one of America's greatest intellectual minds is gone.

    i read one of this guys books in high school, great writer. didnt know he died. what he did great was rewrite history from the losers perspective, interesting stuff
