Sunshine by far is my favorite Lupe song. "I never met her before, but I think I like her, like a metaphor, shes hard to get". Amazing lyric, awesome song, awesome beat. The other one that I truly love is American Terrorist because it has lines like, "the ink of a scholar is worth a thousand times more than the blood of a martyr". I thoroughly enjoy rap with deep meaning and thought, which is why Lupe is my favorite artist. It is my birthday tomorrow May 12th and it would be amazing to hear I won a poster signed by my favorite artist. Great show @RWU also. I yelled out Education when you said Education or War.

Little Weapon off the cool. The drum in the background is awesome and it's just a great song. Great commentary on the contrast of our culture compared to cultures we tend to ignore for our own conscious sake (see Rwanda 1994).

I'm more of an old school type of dude and prefer Lupes older and first two albums over LASERS, but my fave song from Lupe's entire discography comes from LASERS; Never Forget You. I know that song is about Lu's father but when I listen to that song it reminds me of my poor mother. She was born in the third world country of Guatemala and raised by her grandparents when both her parents were killed in a car crash when she was a baby. She grew up poor and youngest out of a very large and extrended family and had it the roughest being the youngest. After 21 years of her trials and tribulations in Guatemala she packed up by herself, at 21 and moved to Canada to start a new life. My mother worked 2-3 jobs for years and had to raise my sister all by herself. My mother slaved away for years working and saving and she worked hard enough to be able to afford her own house all by herself with nobody to support her at all. My mother has continued to work ever since then (that was 20-something years ago) EVERY single day. There's not one day where my mom isn't working as hard as her little body will carry her. Things have been crazy in our life the last several years and my mother/family has had to endure a rollercoaster of emotions and now that my mother is finally close to retirement and being able to finally relax after working for her entire life (she turned 62 back in march) and just enjoy sit and enjoy life she was diagnosed with cancer literally less than a week ago on the 5th and it just really hit me hard because the relationship between my mother and I had completely fallen apart the past 6 months and I realized that growing up I never really showed that I loved my mother to the degree that I could have. I've finally learned to love my mother to the fullest and the world is trying to take her away from me now. I don't even care about the poster I just wanted to get my thoughts and feelings out there and so that anybody who reads this knows that I love my mother!!!.

Words I Never Said, because of the meaning if it.It speaks to me in so many levels.Lupe is truly one of my biggest role models.I'm a Muslim like Lupe and and "Murdering is not Islam, and you are not observant" is a great line.He is such an inspiration to me and his music is brilliant.

Hip Hop Saved My Life - Tells a great story through lyrics that come to life

"Till I Get There": really inspires me because it sends a great message along with its up-tempo beat. This year was my first in college and I experienced a lot of negative things. My girlfriend of 3 years ended it, my best friend blamed me for something I didn't do and now doesn't trust me, I'm living away from home, and I have hours of studying and school work. However, through the mess of Panic/Anxiety attacks, this song helped me with everything. The hook mainly gets to me, I'mma keep it cool, and I'mma do me It is what it is and that's how it's gon' be Until I get there Until I get there And yeah I got flaws, I know I'm not perfect But all the ups and downs, will soon be worth it When I get there When I get there Shit happens, no one is perfect, and sadly people can't get past that. But I've held my head up high through everything and I know that I have to do what's best for me and when I succeed in my future, it will be worth it. "Till I Get There" has really picked me up from some bad times. Thanks Lupe.

I'm Beaming is my favorite Lupe song because Lupe tells kids to break away from stereotypes and to be the person to do it all. "Hoods where the heart is, Nerds where the words from, I don't represent either, Because I merged them". Awesome and inspirational

Fav Song - The Show Goes On Why - I love the song because it inspires me. In the lyrics it says - Five in the air for the teacher not scared to tell those kids thats living in the ghetto that the n-ggas holdin back that the World is theirs! - I wish my teachers would tell me stuff like this but the area I live in everybody's afraid to do something new. They don't want to new things because they are afraid of what people might say. This song also taught me that when people bring you down that it's not the end of the world or everybody hates you. I think it means that whatever we do in life people are going to judge us but that's just the way it is. I probably won't win this competition but I hope Lupe sees this because I want to tell him - Thank You.

Daydreamin because it shows the versatility of Lupe as an artist. He is able to incorporate real world issues into any song, even one about a robot. Lupe's ability to consistently make a statement is the reason I love him as an artist.

My fav is the show goes on it says to me that lupe cares for his fans! Also shows what he has learned in his life and how it made him a better rounded person and artist!

American Terrorist When this song first came out it blew my mind cause he was saying everything in it that I wanted to say. I have always loved that about Lupe, how he's not afraid to say anything, especially politically.

Words I never said, because its about real life, not just girls and money. Those things don't matter. Also I used to be embarrased about being Muslim but Lupe made me realize that I don't have to be :)

Tough to say, off of LASERS my favorite 3 songs are letting go, words I never said and break the chain. It all just depends on my mood and what I'm going through at the time!

3-way tie between "Go To Sleep", "The Coolest" and "Failure". Lupe's most lyrically deep and complex songs in my opinion. Pretty much the entire "The Cool" album is a favorite song.

Words i never said is my favorite song. The reason being is that i've listened to most of his songs but for some reason this one acually changed the way i think. I'm glad that his voice is acually being heard. Tell em Lupe

So far I have found myself loving The show goes on. The lyrics are all so real and straight from the heart and He talks about all aspects of life. The people who are struggling in life and the people who don't have to worry about money or anything in life. I also love that he speaks to younger generations as well and giving kids and young teenagers hope also letting them know the bigger you dream the more real it can become!

"The Coolest" It's an incredible depiction of popular rap culture and the damage that negative rap can do for the young kids that it is targeted at.

This is difficult to figure out because Lupe is so talented, but I would have to say my favorite Lupe Fiasco song is "Go Go Gadget Flow". Lupe spits fire on this track. His quick, precise lyrical flow is showcased beautifully in the song, and he represents the city he is from with soul and heart. Chi-town loves you Lupe!

Beautiful Lasers has to be one of the best songs of Lupe and of this album. He had me going through his life story and the fact that he contemplated suicide shows how much emotion he puts into his music. Beautiful Lasers put me into the shoes of Lupe with issues with Atlantic and daily struggles in life. He puts us through struggle that we go through or what we see others go through. He's the reason why i have been speaking my mind. I live my life to the L.A.S.E.R.S. Manifesto

My favorite song would have to be Hip-hop saved my life because its such a inspirational song, also it makes my ears happy!

Favorite Lupe song would have to be "Words I Never Said," I have been playing this song for months and I can never get enough of it. I love the fact that he doesn't hold back one bit with his lyrics and he expresses his views completely, no matter how controversial the topic may be. The song hits so many topics and the words are so meaningful, because he says the things that we're afraid to say, or express. He couldn't say it better with the following lyrics "We scared of almost everything, afraid to even tell the truth So scared of what you think of me, I’m scared of even telling you Sometimes I’m like the only person I feel safe to tell it to." I thank him for making this song, and the amazing album that he fought so hard for.

"Hip-hop saved my life" ... because it did... and because Lupe singlehandedly saved hip-hop and revived our belief in it with that song...

My favorite is Words I Never Said, such a great message and exposes so many things. "Murdering is not Islam, and you are not observant"

Till I get there. The whole song, especially the beat, just makes me feel so good.

My favorite song by Lupe Fiasco is Words I Never Said. Lupe is straight up speaking his mind and tells it how it is in that song.
