My favorite song definitely is 'we can make it better' because a few years ago i had exactly the same problems which are mentioned in the song and that track has given me so much hope and strength during that time. I can relate to every word contained in the song that i just cried while lsitening to the song the first time. Your music is one of the greatest inspirations to me, keep up the good work.

thank you :) Hip-Hop Saved my life! :D
lupefan2112's picture

there are too many to choose from. But I'd have to say either hip hop saved my life, Little Weapon or I Don't feel so good (From the rhyming ape mixtape *i like how it rhymes LOL*) but when it comes down to it i'd have to say hip hop saved my life. The instrumental was magnificent while Lupe and Nikki Jean made it a 100x better. It just has that favorite song feeling to it that you can't explain. I love it :) Hip-Hop saved my life is my favorite song from Lupe Fiasco. :)

yo one of my favorite songs is "Coulda Been"...I have been following lupe since i graduated from high school in 2006 with his album food and liquor and even till this day. I told my cuzins that this guy was going to be one of the greats then and my prediction became real. I've bought every album and tried to have gotten my hands on every mixtape that i can.But back to why this song in particular is one of the best songs that stick out among the rest, LUPE represents hope in a way that revives your spirit and up lifts your soul and the song coulda been makes you realize that nature in his lyrics of what one can accomplish their goals in life and if you haven't been successful in life there is still hope that your life could still turn around for the better and that even through the trials and tribulation of life that you can still make something out of yourself. lupe the best rapper of this generation ever FNF up.

American Terrorist This song is amazing and truly one of my favorites because how Lupe tries to tell us about history, and the hardships people had to experience in our nation's past. Questioning and critiquing how the United States handled human welfare. That's how i took and understood the song. Nevertheless this is one of my most admirable Lupe songs along with Emperor's Soundtracks and All Black Everything... Actually you can't go wrong with any of his songs. Lol

its gotta be the show goes on. because Lupe talks about how much Atlantic Records and all other record companies disrespect their artists if the artist does not follow what the record company wants the artist to do. He first talks about record companies lying to you and they want try to make you angry but you have to follow them because they own your contract. after this lupe goes into how much they work you overtime and try control you by beating you and your songs that you come up with down. When a company says theyll let you do this and that they lie and when you come up with what you think is a good idea they say that they dont remember letting you have any freedoms. in the 2nd verse lupe talks about his personal experiences while he was living in his child hood and it also refers to another famous singer who was with Atlantic Records, before he left - Ray Charles, because Ray was one of the original people who disliked how Atlantic Records treated him and told other song writers not to let their record companies hold them back and to keep pushing for what the artist aspires for. and in his final verse he tells people to always keep your dream alive and not to let people change it.

Streets On Fire- The metaphors and symbolic language in this song take everything to a whole new level. I did an English assignment on it and aced it. ;) Haha, I'm sure I didn't interpret it the way Lupe meant for it to be interpreted , but who could? The man's waaayyyy too deep. FNF ^

Favorite song of all time, there is no way to narrow it down, so I will choose my favorite as of now. Break the Chain - you and Sway kill it

If I had to pick a song it would be words I never said. It's an inspiration to people to think their own thoughts and form their own opinions about the world and the events of today.

If I had to pick one its Words I never said. It brings a lot of emotions and gets me thinking and I like when something gets people thinking(there hasn't been a lot of that lately). I get that from most of Lupe's songs and thats why he's one of very few rap/ hiphop acts I can stand. Last year a friend talked me into going to the Seattle show of Lupes pre Lasers tour. I brought my nephew and we had a blast. He enjoys hip hop a lot and I like that we have you in common. If I do get a poster I'm not sure if it would be for him or me. Thanks for not being a pimp, mac, or mobster.

I love All of Lupe's Music but my favorite song has to be "Kick, Push" from Food and Liquor because It was and still is a perfect skating song. Being a skater myself I understand what hes talking about. This song is just calm and the meaning is so true about skateboarders and how there looked down at when they try to skate anywhere. This might be an old song but its my favorite still.

I just happened to see Lupe and skylar on colbert a few days ago I'm just over 50 and up to this point not a big rap fan but for some bizarre reason this performance which i've replayed now over a dozen times has really affected me in a very deep way --not since my teens have i been so moved by a song A satori moment? a peak experience? i joined this site just so i could say thank you to Lupe and Skylar Whatever you are doing its something much more than music Thank you again

There's so fricken many! If I had to narrow it down i would say 'words I never Said' because of the potency of the lyrics and I love the way he flows on that beat

My favorite song is the show goes on because the music is great & the lyrics are meaningful and fun to sing at the same time :D

After long deliberation My favorite Lupe Song Would Have To Be: Glory. I love Lupe's Music and am a huge fan but me and glory have a certain connection. My interpretation of that song echoes my opinion of our Lost nation. I even sourced the song heavily on a paper about American Values. At some point in my life i would like to help America find it's glory as a people again. Lupe is the Man simply said

KICK PUSH, i love this song because ever line is so true about how skateboarder are frowned upon when ever they try and skate any where. i am a skateboarder and for the longest time there was no where to skate in my little town. i know kick push is a bit of an oldie but it is definitely one of the best

I have three favorites Superstar, The Show Goes On and Words I Never Said
Nasir123's picture

Words I never said - he relates to the real world and is not afraid to speak the truth.
shanda97's picture

WORDS I NEVER SAID This is my favorite song because it teaches us about our world around us. Lupe in this song says everything that is going on and also what all is true. I only 13 years old and this is by far one of my favorite songs and it inspires me for what I believe in and what all is going on in this world and how America is doing some shady stuff. In the music video it shows people with things over their mouth because they cannot speak what they want to say. This is definitely one of my favorite songs by him: "Words I Never Said", "The Show Goes On", "Hip Hop Saved My Life", and "Superstar"
DJDEVIL's picture

Words I Never Said- There are words that are never said that should be said.We are scared of always being judged .Lupe words in this song are so raw real unbelievable and true .It sends a clear message of the world and how much is happening around us .We as humans are not perfect and we are very judgmental of others because of their skin color ,religion point of views ect....I admire how Lupe Fiasco stands up for who is and his religion ,his opinions.his music is real he is a inspiration to everyone to stand up and speak their minds say the words they sometimes feel will be words never said.

American Terrorist. It's professional, deep, satirical. Has a platform but it isn't so overt that you're annoyed. And Matthew Santos sounds incredible on the track.

Glory, off of Fahrenheit 1/15 Part II: Revenge of the Nerds. I've been following Lupe since 04 and the first time that I heard Glory it brought tears to my eyes, I almost broke down. I was going through a really rough time in my life and that song helped me through it. Not only did it help me through it but it inspired me to become a better person. It made me decide to be a more active human being. It made me drop listening to ear candy and develop a taste for food for thought. It made me open my eyes and realize that we are in a simulated reality controlled by our government. Any time I'm feeling down I listen to that song and it brings me right back up to myself. It still remains my favorite song to this day. I made countless friends sit down and listen to it while reading the lyrics in hopes that they would feel the same way as me. Through all of it though, it helped me realize that when you are intelligent and enlightened that all you want to do is spread that same feeling of peace, love, & understanding, but sadly, you can show people water, but can't make them drink it. It even inspired me to become an artist myself, and I know one day Lu and I will work together, but until that day...I'm going to respect the position I play, never letting my heart reflect the conditions in which I stay.

I think my favorite song would have to be... This is tough. It often changes weekly. I'm going have to say "Beautiful Lasers". It's one of Lupe's most personal songs and it sums up what he was feeling throughout the Lasers process. I have so much to say about this song, but I don't know how to put it in words. I feel like I can listen to this song when I have problems, and I reassure myself that there is no problem too big to face. That times might seem bad now, but things will get better. And seeing this song live makes me love it even more.

My favorite song by lupe fiasco is "The Coolest". Reason being this song shows lupe's amazing ability with his word play but also the poetic style he has in his song. The song shows that Lupe differs from artists, the beat and Lupe were a perfect match. His story telling ability is also what captures my attention so well, but also that this song was not played on the radio and veers away from being a mainstream song which is why I love this song so much as well. Lupe Fiasco is honestly the epitome of Hip-Hop and should have his own talk show.
XxNaimaLaserJetsetter's picture

Favourite track at the moment would be 'Streets on Fire'. That would be because first of all I just love the whole concept of The Cool album, and because people read into the song and have so many different ideas about what they think it's about. That what makes it good, I think good lyrics like a poem... You can get so many things out of it from just words... And I think Lupe Fiasco is talented at doing that. Also Matthew Santos' voice is just amazing... So... that's my favourite song at the moment, but it changes from time to time and it's pretty hard choosing since I love all his songs so far... :)
