"Letting Go" has hands down been my favorite Lupe Fiasco Track since L.A.S.E.R.S. dropped, and topped my last favorite LP track. First n foremost, this track to me is something I can relate to in many ways. The beat is also really dope, and Lupe's lyrics are genius! Lupe is the new generation of "REAL Hip-hop" unlike many of todays rappers and artist making tracks about money and b*tches n nonsense like that. Lupe keeps it real and I'm a Lupe supporter to the end. "Strip away the justice, justify the scrutiny, I can see the L.A.S.E.R.S. shooting out of you and me" -Lupe Fiasco

For me it depends on the mood. When i wanna chill I hear "Daydreamin" or "Shining Down", if i want nice beats I hear "I Don't Wanna Care Right Now" or "Little Weapon".

My favorite song is American Terrorist. I love the message and the music. They go hand in hand. I love how it speaks the injustices hidden in our day to day lives and how we've grown so used to it that we start to believe these injustices are normal. I love how the song makes me stop and think and want to change society for the best. I want to go out and start telling people how we're being controlled. I want to let people know the truth and challenge their daily routines so that they can see that when they standby they're actually damaging our society even more. Thats when I tell them to start listening to positive music and hopefully start opening their eyes. Truth is its hard to pick just one song. I can't remember the last time i went a whole day without listening to at least one lupe song.

I can't pick a favorite (there's so many great songs by him, especially older songs) so I'll pick a favorite off Laser. It's Out of my Head bc I've been going through some stuff with these three girls and I've identified with the song so much, plus it's so catchy.

"Hey Say She Say" While I don't really have a specific favorite track from you, I do feel that this song hits home the most when it comes to my discovery of your amazing-ness during a tough part of my life. Especially the scenario of not growing up without a Father and all to support and show you the foundations of how to be a man in this cold world of ours. I also like how you change the subjects of each verse from Mother to Son, but managed to keep the same heartfelt meaning with literally one verse. When I think of the first tracks I really began to cherish from you, this one comes up. There may be better choices out there for everyone, but this track had a subjective meaning towards me.

I WANT ONE! :D Anywoot, my favorite Lupe Fiasco song would be "Hurt Me Soul" because it still has substance and context, yet, Lupe has fun with his flow on the track. Basically, it's the epitome of a Yung Lu. Ahem, ahem. . ."Now, I ain't trynna be the greatest. I used to hate hip-hop, yep, because the women degraded. But Too Short made me laugh, like a hypocrite I played it, a hypocrite I stated though I only recited half. Omitting the word bitch, cursing I wouldn't say. Me and Dog couldn't related til a bitch I dated." Lol. FNF^

My favorite song is definitely "Failure" because it is so ridiculously lyrical and I never get tired of listening to it. I hope F&L II has some more of the same!

The Instrumental. This song is extremely poetic. It can be interpreted in so many different ways - it does a great job of reflecting upon their reader their own ideas

failure, it was the first time i heard lupe a long time ago, the word play is just ridulous. "did you even catch the change in theme"

beautiful lasers is my favorite song beause the song is soo personal. Its nice to know that some one you respect and look up to has dark days and moments just like you do. Sometime we for get that stars are people too.

Man to pick one song is soooo difficult. i remember when kickpush came out i liked it instantly and went and bought the food & Liquor as sooon as it came out and as soon as i heard the cool i loved it. that is my favorite lupe song because of the story behind it. basically the songs just about keepin it real i literaly listen to lupe fiasco every day every cd is soooo good and i hope that there will be more lupe in the future.

Picking one song is hard so many great ones. If I have to pick one, I'm gonna go with DAYDREAMIN with ms Jill Scott. The Swan Lake sample is sick and after that song I was hooked on Lupe. Bought every album since
Cardinal420Wings's picture

Daydreamin' with Jill Scott. A.) The trip hop sounds behind this track is a-maz-ing! B.) Jill Scott is the perfect match with your vocal stylings. C.) I personally think that it should be the theme song to Alice in Wonderland!

One of my favourite Lupe songs is Lupe the Killer from Revenge of the Nerds mixtape because the wordplay is beyond crazy in that song and each phrase can be translated into 897624590 different meanings. However, if I had to choose a favourite Lupe song from one of his albums (which is not easy), that would be Put You on Game because it sends out a great message of the ills of society + govt in such a genius way with the use of many dope metaphors :). :)

No doubt. "The Show Goes On" It's so relaxing and I can't be tired of it. Every day I need to hear it at least one time.
niaxdior's picture

i love ' letting go ' , because it decribes alot of things that's going on regular people's lives and the ups and downs of it , but at the end of the day you still have to push through .

i have the album lasers and i must say its one of the greatest ablums i have ever heard but if i had to choose a favorite song i would say it it the bonus track im beaming because he is talking about overcoming the odds and its a song i could really relate my life to

My favorite track of Lupe's is "Dumb it Down." A great message that I completely agree with about the state of the hip hop industry; there just aren't enough smart rappers out there. Keep flowin, Lupe.

Words I Never Said, easily my favorite song because the message is what I say all the time. America was setup for the people by the people and it will live or die by the people so the worst thing we can do is nothing. Not only does it get this message across but it sounds good and has a crazy music video.

The show goes on- because it's original, not been done before, has meaningful lyrics and inspires me to write P.S. you should come tour in the UK

Well, where to start with this. Lupe is by far away my favourite artist. Its not even close. His lyrics are from the soul and are meaningful, not just some bullsh*t jibber jabber. Also the beat in all his songs is sick, and the whole song together just makes you go WOW. Favourite song. Theres too many to choose from but Shining down ft Matthew Santos. Love it and its really helped me out in some bad times recently. And Kick, Push. Lupe at his finest with this. Relative to me and the lads when we go out boarding. Pure epicness
mrawtroo's picture

Glory. One of the realest songs ever. "The truth; is limitless in it's range If you drop a T and look at it in reverse, it could hurt" Pure dopeness.
DLong408's picture

Man, how can I choose JUST ONE song?!?!?! Words I never said is just ridiculous. The lyrics are real and have depth to them(unlike soooooo many other "artists" out there now). But Hip-Hip saved my life from The Cool was another great song. Kick Push is another favorite. It's the type of song that just puts a smile on your face as you think back to your younger years. Honestly, any song by Lupe is a great one in my book

i got to go with "hip-hop saved my life" off the cool, that shit felt like what i was going for in life.
Joeface's picture

Dumb it down has to be my favourite, simply because I can never stop myself from listening every time it comes on, and just about every time I realise that there are even more genius lyrics than I expected.
Piotrek's picture

Till I Get There. Because this song is about being yourself ( I think so:) ) and it's important to not acting like somebody else. And of course this song stays in your mind for a long time (sorry for my English but I don't speak very well).
