Mine has to be Until I Get There. I love this song, perfect to drive too, perfect to remind yourself about your goals in life, but most impoartantly to not forget who YOU are while you are busting your a** getting there!

I am going to talk back to F&L and say "He Say, She Say" only because how much I can relate to the song. Growing up without a father was tough on me and seeing what my mother had to go through to raise me and my younger by herself made me connect to the song even more.

One more 'Say Something' remix. I remember playing this for my friends in my car and they went crazy! Lupe killed it! Say Something is already an amazing song but Lupe's verse heighten the genius of the song. My favorite line: ? Uh, Opus of a ghetto boy who grew into a project man Brewster Place, he used to stick his scissors in his sockets damn? I bet more than half of the people on the comment section are not aware of the Brewster Place, lol, smh. That movie came out in '89. I remember watching it in the early 90s at age 5. The scene where baby girl got died from playing with the socket burned in my head because I looked exactly like that little girl, smh. But the first time I heard the remix and he said that line...I went crazy! It just confirmed to me on how authentic and special Lupe is. I love how diverse he is...he can literally talk about current events all around the world without skipping a beat.

Hurt Me Soul It was hard for me to choose but i chose this because it shows the pain and blindness of our everyday lives and that everything isn't what it could be and i know that he was hurting at the time so it hits hard to him as well as some of his listeners...i love his music and will continue to do so

This is a hard one.My favorite song would have to be "Kick Push" because it it was the major push that I need when i was about 9 or 10 to try skating. To this day I still skate and am proud of myself because I never quit no matter how hard it was. This song realy changed my life in a big way

I love all of Lupe's tracks so its hard for me to have a favorite. But "switch: the science project" is one of my favorite tracks the word play is #dope and my man did his thing on there.

My favorite song is "Words I Never Said." The first time I heard it. It spoke directly to me. The song is so truthful and bold. I absolutely love it. It reminds me to stand up for what is right in this world. It is simply an amazing song. Lupe, thank you for writing it. It's an amazing song and your an amazing artist. Keep up the good work and keep fighting the good fight.

Words I Never Said I love how Lupe Fiasco was not afraid to tell the truth and help educate the youth of America. He isn't scared to show his real feelings like many other rappers. In "Words I Never Said", every single line was nothing but intelligent. Lupe is one of the very few great rappers today, and he displays it perfectly in this song.

Definitely "Never Forget You" You and John Legend are perfect together. The lyrics are amazing and its been on repeat in my car for the past few weeks!!

"The coolest" because he really spits out meaningful lyrics. He shows what he can see. Lasers was good, but will never match up to food and liquor and the cool. Atlantic Records needs to treat Lupe right. I like the songs on food and liquor more... It shows who lupe really is

"Put You On Game" from "The Cool" The whole song is a metaphor for the darkness that tries to consume every single one of us; even through our positive efforts in life. Many people don't catch it, but when this song is understood it becomes clear how walking a path of light is a battle to repel the darkness. Poetry at it's finest; and "every bullet is hoping to become a mouth that says it's name"....DAMN

hard to choose but i gotta say "words i never said" becasue it really gets the message. its telling you to open your eyes and resist being brainwashed by this bullshit america is feeding us!

Words I Never Said That song just speaks to so much more than making music, it's a testament to society and all the problems we look past and try to ignore. In that song, Lu brings to light not only the failures of mankind and the civilization we live in but also lets us know that we are strong enough to overcome and defeat the people and the ideas that holding us down and prevent us from living in peace and happiness.

Hip hop saved my life - What a song! Connected with me on a metaphorical level and its just a classic example of how Lupe can get you so involved into a song and make you FEEL something. I know it word for word and I`ve been listening to it regularly since in it came out years ago. I`ve been pushing his music to local radio stations here in Calgary and Red Deer since the release of words I never said and the show goes on, he hit 1 here.

My favourite would have to be He Say She Say even though it's sad i really like the story to it and how it jumps from the mothers point of view to the sons point of view. I also really like The Instrumental, Daydreamin', The die and Till i get there.

L- Lyrical genius U- Undeniably the best rapper out there P- Persuasive words of wisdom E- Extraordinarily talented F- Flows are ridiculous I- Inspirational A- Absolutely life changing S- Stands above all those other rappers C- Can't wait for Food & Liquor II O- Original in every single way Lupe Fiasco literally saved my life 3 years ago and still continues to get me through each and every day. 3 years ago i was in the darkest point in my life. I honestly had no motivation to continue on with my life and i was losing more and more hope as the days went by. Lupe is literally the sole reason i made it through those days. Every single song on Food & Liquor and The Cool is so meaningful to me. Hello/Goodbye is my favorite song though because out of every single song, i could relate to that one the most. It's about a very dark stage in Lupe's life and listening to the words and knowing he had gotten through restored faith in me and made me stronger. I one day hope i can tell him how much he truly means to me.

Beautiful Lasers for sure because it's about a tough time in Lupe's life and i can really relate to feeling that way. The emotion really comes through in the lyrics as well
bdoggz123's picture

Gotta go with gold watch and Joaquin Phoenix as some of the greats though..

ummm....ALL OF THEM??!!

The Coolest because his genius lyrics got the concept of his album across...it also has a sick instrumental...."and if the rain stops and everything's dry, she would cry just so I could drink the tears from her eyes. she'll teach me how to fly. even cushion my fall if my engines ever stall and i plummet from the sky"
LuLusQueen's picture

'The Coolest' is also one of my favorite Lupe songs of ALL TIME. When my older brother and younger cousin questioned the Lupe as a rapper....I referred them to 'The Coolest'. Now that is Super-Lupe-Lyrical at its finest!lol Everything from the flow, metaphors, content, context, rhyme, word-play are on a whole 'nother level!

Day Dreamin' because of the lyrics. Hard to find a story in songs anymore and it not only has one but it is easy to visualize.
LupeFiascoLyrical's picture

A supper sick song is "Sunshine" just because it shows your love for somebody and how there always on your mind. How you wanna look good for the person. And how you would do anything with them and for them. I think its one of your best songs out of "Food & Liquor"
MJay's picture

I would have to say The Instrumental. I listened to that song over and over when I was in a rut, chasing after the same things that seemed to just leave me empty.

Definitely Daydreamin', the imagery is incredible.

My favorite Lupe song is Instrumental from Food and Liquor. The lyrics in this song is out of this world and so deep you need to listen to it more than twice to understand it. Also has great beats. There a lot that comes close second to it, but I feel like I have listened to this song than any other.
