My favorite is "The Instrumental" because it was the song that got me into Lupe's music. "Dumb It Down" comes at a close second for the lyrical content.

right now my favorite song is "I don't wanna care right now" because when I went and saw you in NYC earlier this year at Roseland ballroom i got to enjoy it twice(once early in the show and a second time during the encore), and both times it blew my mind. made the trip from Maine well worth it. great show, can't wait to see you in RI in 3 weeks!

WORDS I NEVER SAID because it opened up a whole new world for me. I had no real interest in this entire genre until I caught the line, "Walk with me into the ghetto, this where all the Kush went" when my husband was listening to the song. I was intrigued by the Kush reference and listened to the entire song again. I was hooked! Now I can't get enough Lupe Fiasco. I don't always agree with all of his content, but I love the way he tackles issues and topics that few others will touch. Because of this song, I've entered a world I never thought I could relate to or be a part of.

The Instrumental. This song doesn't talk about having money and doing drugs, but instead focuses on a problem in society that no one seems to care about. The lyrics are meaningful and the song flows very well, giving it a unique feel that few songs even outside the rap world are capable of obtaining. I love every Lupe song, but this one has the most profound effect on me because of the story-telling along with the thematic meaning behind the rhyming. I tried to explicate it for a poetry project in my AP Literature class, but my teacher said we could only do poems from the book.

My favorite Lupe song at the moment is beautiful lasers. They lyrics are incredible, they inspire me to keep my head up. I've been through a rough childhood and felt like there was no way out and helpless, but all we got to do is keep our head up and keep on going. I also have a younger sister who is going through a rough time right now and I made her listen to this song hopefully it motivates her too. Love you Lupe, Lasers was too amazing and the crazy thing is the synchronicities, this whole album describes the place I am in my life. Life is amazing no matter how much struggles we need to overcome as long as we have love we will make it!

I'm creating an anthology for my senior English class this year, and I plan to write one section of it about Lupe Fiasco and how he has inspired me in my life. The first song I ever heard by Lupe was 'The Instrumental' which I heard while watching a Cristiano Ronaldo soccer video. As fascinated as I am by Ronaldo and the talent he posseses, I was more impressed with the song that was being played in the video. Ever since then, I have listened to this song countless times, and it has been my personal favorite by him. The lyrical genius that pertains to this song is unbelievable. After listening over and over again, I picked up on what Lupe was getting at. One bit of the song goes, "he just sits, and watches the people in the boxes, everthing he sees he absorbs and adopts it" The "boxes" are television sets, and "he" is everyone who watches and takes in what is going on in the media. Many people let the talk consume them, and their own voice is belittled, or even shattered by what is going on around them. They then become an "instrumental" to society, or someone without a voice. Lupe is exactly the opposite, which is why he is not influenced by the crap going on around him. Instead, he is the one of the people with a voice, and many pairs of ears are listening to what he has to say; which is why he inspires me. I know I can't personally ask Lupe the questions I would like to for my project, but I'm pretty sure his songs tell it all. So thank you Lupe Fiasco. Thank you for being an inspiration to me, and so many others who have been blessed to hear your music. Keep doin' your thing.

I definitely would like one! "The Cool" or "Daydreamin" are the two songs I consider my favorite songs of Lupe's. "The Cool" because of it's basis in the undead, and working at a Coroner's Office, and being a huge fan of zombie games and movies can't help but seem right on target! "Daydreamin" would also have to be on the top of the list for Lupe Fiasco songs for me, because I am a huge fan of Jill Scott's work, and the fact the the song heavily reminds me of that old black and white cartoon, "Gigantor!"

It's tough, but i gotta say my favorite song is "The Coolest" because it was this song where i realized that Lupe Fiasco was truly a poet and a lyrical genius. "....And if the rain stops and everything dries, she would cry just so i can drink the tears from her eyes..."- lyrical genius, 'nough said.

I would have to say "the instrumental" because its completely the truth and is as real as it gets,he talks about how we have no choice but to succumb to the media, look at us,we are subjecting to "the box"right now.secondly I would say "twilight zone" because he is a lyrical genius.

He said she Said, the song is amazing, and I can relate to every word in that song.

i dont know if i can pick just one....little weapon is one of my favorites and it just volumes about how our interactions with one another can affect us.

I dont ever think i could choose one based off how good it is cuz theres way too many that are just lyrically complex beyond belief so im just gonna have to go personal. i think ill have to pick free chilly because although i dont know chilly someone very close to me has been recently locked up and it sucks. so that song just gets me right now. much love to lupe and all the LASERS my shit never gets posted anyway but its worth a try... LASERS STAND UP!

"Words I Never Said" is definitely my favorite song of yours Lupe, in times like these its rare to hear the truth. Your music breaks down a lot of walls and tells people to think for themselves, something this country greatly needs. This song inspires me to make a difference in any way I can, because as you say we are all beautiful lasers. Keep rockin brotha!

My favorite Lupe songs are 'Gangsta Up In Here' off the before there were lasers mixtape cuz the way Lupe goes off on the track is so unique. The beat is already good but Lupe Straight up kills it. Off the new Lasers album my favorite is 'Till I Get There'. The beats on every single song on the whole album are amazing and the lyrics are what make the album Worthy of being one of the greatest albums of all time. I cant stop bumpin it since it dropped

i'm still loving hurt me soul. rhymes are crazy, and the message is hella true. just listing everything wrong with politics and society and shedding light upon a lot of everyday problems that no one notices.

Words I never said because it opens my eyes to what is really happening in the world and that to speak out your mind when you know that it could make a difference.

I have way too many to say but the one I am listening to the most is "Hurt Me Soul" off of his first album. One of the greatest songs ever!

I want one! My Favorite Lupe Fiasco song is "Words I Never Said" because as a Palestinian-American it gives me true hope for my brothers and sisters in Palestine to hear Lupe sing about our plight to the world! Thank you, Lupe! We love you!

Tight competition between 'The Emperor's Soundtrack' and 'Twilight Zone'. The latter shows the lyrical genius of Lupe. It taught me that rap doesn't have to be stupid, 'Twilight Zone' broadened my mind and inspired me to start writing. I can with all honesty say that it taught me more then a semester could. Ima go with Twilight Zone...

My favourite song is Hip Hop Saved My Life because I remember last year when my dad was in the hospital my family would always be with him and I had exams then but couldn't concentrate because of all the stress but for some reason whenever I would listen to this song it would make me realise "you know what everything is going to work out it just a test of will" and what do you know my dad is almost cancer free now, my family is stronger than ever and I got into the school I always wanted to go to because of staying calm and positive thanks to lyrics. "Hip Hip you saved my life" truly :)

My favorite Lupe song which is actually my favorite song in general is Fighters. I really adore this song because while battling with depression it helps me overcome all the sorrow and pain I feel. His words of wisdom have truly spoken to my heart and I greatly appreciate how much he has saved hip hop. He is truly the most influential and real rapper out there and that's why I love him and all he does. He makes me feel bigger than life. I love you, Lupe! LASERS!

I always liked "gold warch" b/c it has that old school "native tongues" vibe and sound

“Fighters”, I think most of the lupe songs are fantastic, but when I listen to this song I really feel that he is singing from his heart and I like it how he mentions his father who has passed away and the music is beautiful and the lyric is meaningful.
