Lupe is in the Illuminati? LOOOOL!! Come on guys. Were you even watching the video? He Clearly mocks them straight after he shows their symbol. And if you listen to the lyrics you can hear that the song is basically talking about how he's making it and putting his message out in the world without the being a puppet to the illuminati or letting them do as they please. To be honest the whole album is probably made for this reason simply because of the definition he gives for the term "Lasers" with the "A" correcting the "O": "We are lasers were not losers:
Lasers are the opposite of losers. Lasers are shining beams of light that burn through the darkness of ignorance. Lasers shed light on injustice & inequality. Losers stand by and let things happen. Lasers act and shape their own destinies. Lasers find meaning & direction in the mysteries all around them. Lasers stand 4 love & compassion. Lasers stand 4 peace. Lasers? stand 4 progression"
Lupe, is clever, however he is mocking the symbols. He is clearly mocking the symbols. He is too smart even for his own good. We have similar senses of humor. That's why I kinda get it. Even in his music he talks about it. All the time. He always talks about keeping God first and outting the Devil. He even goes as far as stringing metaphors and similes together telling us he isn't associated with it. Lion has a valid point, but u have to see he is mocking that Free Mason/Illuminati BS. Look and Listen closely to his material. In almost every song and or freestyle he shows sighns of frustration with things related to this New World Order issue. "Never Great Cuz God is great, So it ain't no Goats ain't No Gates"!! Keep it Up Lu!! Your real fans from Day 1 understand you more than you think!
Great piece of art! Exactly what we have come to expect from Lupe. One of the characteristics of a good work of contemporary art such as this video is that it is open to multiple interpretations. In other words, everyone can relate and find meaning in it. But that also opens up the door to all kinds of crazy interpretations like the unfounded illuminati allegations some conspiracy mongers here are trying to make. I loved the video and the allegories/symbols deployed in conveying the meanings of the song and video.
@ THE LION: If you look hard enough for illuminati symbols you will find them anywhere you look even in your own shit...
Ive noticed the illuminati things he had in the video. However, I understand why. In this Vocabulary war we live in, we have to do certain things to make sure we arent made. To simplify what im saying...A sheep in wolfs clothing has to keep the clothing on to make sure the other wolves dont realize its really a sheep.
In order for Mr. Wasalu to remain a spy so to speak, he has to play by certain games. He has to allow certain images, and act a certain way. However, because of the cleverness that is 1st & 15th, the video is a prime example of the symbolic war we live in. Although there are 1 or 2 evil symbols in the video, there are countless of divine symbols in the video as well to reject the negatives. Its unfortunate he has to do this. Whats more unfortunate is that he is seemingly working alone. But prayers are strong and so is Christ aka the Inner G ;-)
I suggest he starts surrounding himself with Rastas such as the Marleys. The only righteous protectors in the business right now.
This video is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This song is Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When is the album coming? I feel like i'm a christian waiting on the second coming of christ.
this is probably the cheapest video ive ever seen lol but it is the best and it has a great message too. Lupe Fiasco is the greatest rapper alive f*ck wut anybody else says
LUPE THE VIDEO WAS BEAMING KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK IM A RAPPER ALSO IN S.CAROLINA ALOT OF PPL HAVE COMPARED ME TO YU GOD HAS GAVE YU A GIFT TO SAVE HIP HOP KEEP IT UP I DID A VERSION OF IM BEAMING WIT THE INSTRUMENTAL MINES IS CALLED "IM GLOWIN" HOPE YU CAN HEAR IT ONE DAY
Again, u guys must realize, he is not apart of the Illuminati. for those who dont kno, he has been against this for a while now. He chooses to talk about it in the smoothest ways. Him laughing it off after he said "You see me now" in the I'm beaming video was classic. Listen to the entire Enemy of the state mixtape closely and will see he is downing the whole Illuminati thing from the first track. Why do you u think he chose that name for the mixtape. HE IS AGAINST IT!!! Almost everyone who is successful in Music, especially Hip Hop has ties to it. He either wants to stay away, get away or wants out of it. I havent figured it out yet, but i can tell you he is not a fan of it at all. Greatest rapper and activist of our generation (80's babies)... Keep it up Lu! Not too many Lasers where im from, but we are strong over here in Maryland! Shout out to D-Money and Nagotiator!! Nagotiator's Beats is Crrrraaazzzzyyyy!!! If you rap, and your nice with it, hit me up... That means u too Lu! lol
this is a good single for his upcoming album. the video is cool, and the lyrix are on point. i will definitely purchase the LP & hopefully others do the same
I am not in the least bit surprised about this video. I expected nothing but pure dope(ism) from Mr.Fiasco and that is what I received. It's no wonder you are an air sign which gives you no choice but to be fly! They say things are not written in stone but I would take a Lapis Lazuli and carve in it "Lupe and Jay Electronica is why Hip Hop survived" How is THAT for permanent...
PS
;-)
Man i respect Lupe as a rapper and a person. he's not like the other rappers who spit rhymes about hoes money cars and drugs but things that hit deep and mean something. GO LUPE. CHI-TOWN all the way baby.
