I wouldn't call myself a hip hop head, but I'm pretty close. I started really listening to rap about a year ago in 2008 after seeing a free Immortal Technique concert on the UC Berkeley campus. Since then, I've increased the number of hip hop songs on my iPod by probably around 1000% at least. I started with mainstream but I've really gotten into more underground and alternative rap recently. Favorite artists are: Eminem, Notorious BIG, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, OutKast, Jay-Z, 2Pac, The Roots, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Mos Def, Lil Wayne, Hieroglyphics, and Ice Cube.
