Eminem VS Lupe?

Rankings

Flow

Lyrics

Style

------------

I think EM comes from an older school of hip hop where the sound of the flow was just as important as the lyrics....

I'm going to give it to Eminem for flow

-----------

Eminem throws together some really abstract ideas but Lu comes off a little bit more real and sincere.

Lu for the lyrics

----------

Eminem has an agressive style....I think that if the two ever battled everyone would be under the illusion that EM won because he'd come so hard...

Lu has a good ear for making things that shouldn't sound good work out.

On the Recovery album it seemed like Eminem made garbage choruses to prove a point....but I can't think of any song where Lu wasted any time in a song.

EM always makes a few throwaway tracks that'll be radio-safe too.

Lu for style.

Winner=Lupe

but Drake would wreck them both.

Ok Drake is my fav,Lupe is my fav,Eminem is second to them to me.So Lupe Fiasco lyrically is better than Both, sorry its the truth, hes more though provoking.Drake has a better flow than Lupe.Em has an equal flow to both.Em has more record sales, and award wins than Lupe, but that doesnt mean anything.

    =Winner is Lupe Fiasco

This comment goes waaayyy back to Scooby_Doo from like the 3rd page. about lupe naming all of the artist in his Fire freestyle. He was neither putting down nor giving props to them. he named them because they were all on the BET 2010 Hottest in the game list (which lupe didnt make). a small part of the reason he droped Enemy of State was out of reaction to him not making the list. And he adress that in that lyric. (he didnt drop his name because he didnt make the list). So he was givin props to them for being listed...... but still Hinting that he would destroy each and every single one of them. (because we all kno dat list is bullshit anyway) ((Fuck BET))

Lu has JUST started getting better with his ennunciation. Back in the Fahrenheit and Food & Liquor days it was downright terrible. I can't compare the two because they're two completely different types of rappers in terms of subject matter, how they rap, and the styles they rap in.

  • (20100820T000354Z )

ok, first I aint ever heard someone say "getting raped by your Dad" is commercially safe.

Whilst I don't agree with alot of the content of Em's tracks you can't knock the guys ingenuity, flow and passion - for me both Em and Lupe are probably, if not are the best two rapers out today for my generation .

Both have pin point clarity of the social situation, both have rhyming speeds of impeccable timing, whether it's Em on 'No Love (where he kills LiL Wayne's section) of Lupe on his new track Scream or back on tracks like Blackout, I can listen again and again to those tracks, just in ore of the flow.

Last but not least, unlike Busta Rhymes ( no disrespect, I love some of his work) or some over rappers Em and Lupe's delivery in terms of diction/ Annunciation are so clear and crisp it's as if they live on a planet where people can speak at a hundred mile an hour and be able to understand every word.

All I would say is Lupe deserves so much more radio time than he gets and Shinning Down should have done so much better than it did, that is a wicked track and I hope it's on Lasers.

Eminem has always had violent music. He first album had songs about him dragging his dead wife to a lake and him getting the shit beat out of him in school. He's been talking about drugs and killing himself. None of this is new. The Eminem Show had 5 songs released as singles for the radio and had 2 (Haile's Song and My Dad's Gone Crazy) more that charted even though they weren't released as singles.

He's had at least 4 singles chart since his second album. He was the highest selling artist of the decade. Of course his songs get plays on the radio.

before recovery, the radio only played at the most 3 of his songs, listen to them now, they all can be played on the radio, they are radio friendly, he dumbed it down

oh! & "25 to life" is like a letter 2 "she" (hip-hop) who abused/used & underappreciated him? That is PURE B.S. he is probably the most beloved rapper of this generation & is constantly "voted" #1(by website polls & critics alike)...

Eminem is mainstream he says thngs for "shock value" inorder 2 sell on like 85% of his songs...& stop ridin him his songs like "love the way you lie" are OK lyrically ex: "like a stair case & f*ck'n step"

How is Recovey mainstream? I dont like W.T.P and Seduction has a whack concept, but he still murdered it lyrically. And true songs like Not Afraid and Love the Way You lie are constantly played on the radio, but those are lyrically great songs.. Listen to "25 to Life" and "Going Through Changes" and tell me thats not hip hop... cuz if that isnt then idk what is

    how about the whole recovery?
