so's Atlantic Records, I made them a long winded "diss track" and after a phone call interview they offered me a 2 CD deal. After thinking about it for 3 seconds I kindly told them to go fuck themselves with a live catfish. Moral of the story, life is what you make it.
Blu should stop with the Prince impersonations and get back with Exile and cook up another classic.... I'm all for experimentation but dude's the nicest IMO on that straight up rhyming
Lu doesn't have to worry about rap beef from anyone, considering most of these dudes in hip-hop all are fake gimmicks anyway. They don't want to be exposed, in more ways than one. Let us not forget Mr. Wasulu is nice with the hands, and probably the feet, elbows, and knees.
I don't believe anyone can touch Lupe lyrically. I think Lupe would win a hip-hop feud against Blu. The people that can challenge Lupe are the rappers from Souls of Mischief.
yea..we had this argument on the old forums way back...
anyways I just choose to say Blupe is the best.
BTH affected me in way Fnl and theCool didnt, not saying fnl and thecool werent amazing albums, bth just had that "thing" to it...emotion.
JnJ is a dope album, bump it from time to time
HerFavoriteColour > fahrenheit 1 and 2, regardless of any of the wordplay and nonsense Lu said on fahrenheit 1 and 2 HerFavoriteColour was just the better body of work in my opinion, I really like 3 so its up there with HerFavoriteColour
I have no idea what direction Blu's going in now with his recent work, seems to be trying a really "alternative" look, which I like, just want to see what his next album will look like
and LM
the fahrenheits are a force to be reckoned with too, not to mention lupe the jedi and all the unreleased tracks.
but they have different styles it's a little hard to compare. Not in positive or negative light but it's usually hard to compare people to lupe, he's good at what HE does you know?
@4ZIATIC
F&L is pretty real too but i get where your coming from.
and my point was just that lupe is better at what he does.
im not taking anything away from blu.
but lyrically lupe's got it.
I like BTH WAY more than The Cool, but I dunno about Food & Liquor. They're both really good for me, the only thing that sets the two apart is the replay value. Sometimes I just can't listen to BTH cause it's so concious and I'm 22 and i'm having a baby and shit like that lol. No disrespect the album is super dope but I can always dig F&L.
Lately I've been more hyped for Blu though...
'That means I'm doing dirt, spitting flames and quenching thirst
And plus the real God has been on my side since birth
I hope that he forgives me, I hope I do his work in every single verse
Now I might do a dance, I might even jerk, tell them niggas don't hate
Only God is great, Enemy Of The State''
'I see it in the eyes of mothers when they uncover their sins and repent
Getting closer to Jehovah on they old knees bent
Praying our mind frames switch and our times change quick'
lUPE is on some next lever ish, while blu still doing drugs to vanish his problems like all the helpless teens
'roll my jeans up beat up and my headphones blastin
blazed some weed up and started laughing'
