In the order of release

Ghostface Killah-Supreme Clientele

Eminem-The Marshall Mathers LP

Reflection Eternal-Train of Thought

Cannibal Ox-The Cold Vein

Scarface-The Fix

Brother Ali-Shadows of the Sun

Jay Z-The Blueprint/The Black Album

Sean Price-Monkey Bars

I think they stayed in the earlier part of the decade a little too much, but honestly the latest I would have probably went would have been 2006 with Clipse-Hell Hath No Fury. I do love the inclusion of Sean Price and the reference to Hunter S. Thompson with the DOOM excerpt. I would have been more decisive and just but The Black Album for Jay though. Overall I enjoy the list and have minor quibbles and may only take off Train of Thought off the list.

Yeh well I like CunninLynguists, Goodie Mob, Devin The Dude, Scarface and a couple other guys. Just as a whole, it's only a handful of dudes from that region I'm into.

Shame because CunninLynguists is amazing. As well as UGK, Goodie Mob, Devin the Dude, etc.

Ian has an east coast bias outside of Common.

But I agree that Like Water for Chocolate should without a doubt be up there.

I don't even think half of those are that great. But then again, I'm not a fan of about 4 of those guys. 1 album I haven't heard. And most the others I just plain don't think were the best of the decade.

While College Dropout is probably the perfect introductory album (meaning that you get a sense of WHO this artist is), it's far too skit heavy and there is plenty of fat to cut off from the album as far as the songs go.

Only heard 4 of them, madvillainy I dont like, but I can see why its there. Would of put college dropout, be, like water for chocolate in there, and below the heavens.
