    alright so im a huge lupe fan like most of you.

     

    but ive always wondered how dude would far in a battle? i know he used to spit some pretty good street shit back in the days, (surrounding your city like suburbs) but would the dude get thrashed in a battle? or could he hold his own?

     

    i know he'll never battle anyone and he's not that type of mc, im just wondering thoughts.

I am also wondering if Lu can battle but I think Lu is not a battle rapper type. Just like other Lupe fans said, he can put some good rap but he's not into battle. The thing is, I like Lu's words...even he can't battle. I like on how he arrange his lyrics. He is the only one who can do that stuff.

Lupe can freestyly but i dont think he puts his effort on battlin. jus look at Terry Kennedy and MF Doom, those guys were after Lupe and he didnt do much about it kus he got more important things to do like sending a message to the world rather than making a stand on one person.

lupe would obviously hold his own. But guys like eminem and Mos def are freestyling experts. Id say he freestyles without flow; referring to his 10 minute freestyle. but his lines are still amazing.

i actually think he would fare really well in a battle. lu really isn't that cheesy on his songs like some rappers who embrace the nerd rapper title a little too hard. in fact i think he could make whoever his competition was in a battle feel downright stupid for having to interpret every line just to figure out the diss lol.

That was on "Champ Is Here" . And the closest I've ever seen lupe get to a battle rap-esque tone, was probably "Hater Hop", which I actually liked. But even that wouldn't hold up.
