i saw some body say lasers will be a disappointment ddo u think so i believe ova from what ive heard from songs like army girl n beautiful lasers,surge,scream,n ladies n getl r good songs but u cant get a album going with out any hits f&l had kick push, daydream, n i gotcha the cool had superstar n hip hop save my life, n pairs tokyo lasers got im beamin n it aint even all that good to play on da radio so what u think?

It will be "disappointing". Maybe not so much flat out suck. But for the amount of time it took to make, the terrible marketing and run around with the label with albums getting postponed, canceled, names changed etc.
It'll all add up to an underwhelming reception I'm sure. At least for me. Especially considering the songs I have heard from the album are not so great, which given Lupe's potential and the amount of time he had to work on them, they should be. I may have even been a little forgiving if the songs overall weren't that engaging, but Lupe absolutely murdered them lyrically. Unfortunately that's not the case. And so far they all seem to be lacking in 1 if not multiple forms.
Yeh, I can tell you right now, even if every other song that hasn't been announced or leaked yet is absolutely incredible, Lasers will still be a disappointment based on the circumstances surrounding it's release and the songs leaked / released thus far being lackluster.

Lasers actually has hits, Im beamin probably wasn't the best choice for a single, but its conducive to what Lupe is trying to do, it was the right precursor to the album, but, choose from any of the songs I've heard, Stereo Sun, Beautiful Lasers, Surge, even Scream, could be possible hit singles as successful or even more so than Superstar or Paris in Tokyo, The reason people think it has no hits is because they're thinking of him in the wrong target market, as far as fan base and target market goes, Lupe crosses some many target's that its hard to really pinpoint where his niche market is, if it is about hit singles (i dont really think it is) than the Market Research probably doesn't show enough impact in what they think is his niche market, but they might have seriously underestimated how much crossover market potential he has. That's just my thoughts on it, maybe Im wrong lol. I think its gonna be an incredible album, Lupe always puts time and effort into making good music.

There will likely be two camps: People so obsessed with Lupe that they will deem him farting for 60min in the studio a classic and people who have their expectations up so high that they'll be disappointed with basically anything he puts out.

Me being weird, I haven't heard any of the other stuff from the album other than Shining Down and I'm Beamin'...
But just from those two songs I feel it will be alright. Shining Down is such an awesome track to me, would've been a definite good comeback tune.
It won't be F&L standards, and maybe a little lesser The Cool theme, but nonetheless it will be a great album in my opinion. The only problem is that because its been so long now that anticipation feeling isn't there, it's just when its out, it's more that 'oh hey, Lasers'
