    Now before I start, sorry if Lupe already said this was true or something. Michael Young I believe is what Lupe would have been if his father wasn't a major part of Lupe's life. His father was very important to him as we see in Fighters and Shinning Down. In He Say She Say the song is all about Michael's missing father as a young boy. In the Coolest (a.k.a. best song ever) "my cool young history" or "Michael Young History" can obviously be taken in two ways. The first "my cool young history" could be Lupe saying this is his own history.

"Michael Young History" could be taken as please forgive Michael he hasn't done anything wrong because he didn't have a father growing up. Maybe on Lasers some missing links will be filled in. I don't know. Tell me what you think

ustughfirullah....i swear micheal young is a frickin fictional person that lupe made up...hes not even real...and how is lupe fiasco gone bad?? i dont understand..i think hes the same...i mean i dont know him or anything but i think hes a good person..hes a smart dude i think hes smart enough to know the deal..

Nah, Lupe said he writes about people and he thinks he's the master when it comes down to placing himself into others, that's the reason he allmost never writes about himself, Wich I think kinda sucks. In his last song he talks about that b/tch vashite and her g4ypartylovingass . I think it's pointless to guess what Lupe could have been without his father, tbh I think he should end up being a jump the bandwagon regular one in a million hiphop fan following the trends like wearing skull and bones fashion designs and wearing rainbow colored skinny jeans. And not some another ignorant fool who gets himself cought selling drugs and losing his life. Besides, tbh the most important thing his father ftught him is prolly Islam (for the hater outhere , I am not forcing my opinions just by statin what I think , OKaY...). Pleaseeducatearrchildreneverydsy. Yup

Interesting theory. I've always imagined that every writer puts himself in his main character one way or the other. For me, MYH, Lu's anti-hero, is different from the way he presents The Game and The Streets in as we feel the tragedy for him, and not the other two. I could never draw parallels between him and Lu but your theory helps bridge that hole.
