    Lupe just dropped some info in his blog that stated that hes working on his "new" album and that LASERS is complete.

     

    Also the album LASERS will feature artists such as

    Pharrel

    B.o.B.

    Chad

    Keena

    and more...

    Album has a huge Neptune influence.

    As you already know (for the die hard lu fans) Lupe already put out snippets of songs such as "2ways" Ladies & Gentelmen" and "Army Girl" that are going to be on LASERS so you can already tell that the album is going to be about the social issues and social interactions. Not another "Cool" concept type album.

sounds cool...i have a feeling lupe and kanye wont happen...idk why,just seems like they're both doing their own different things and are never in the same place at the same time. pharrell and the neptunes never sold out...they make good pop music.nothing wrong with that...people always label pop music as a bad thing.

You make a n**** have the Gangsta Lean! Yo, if Neptunes give Lu production half as good as what they give Clipse, this could be promising. As long as Lu don't go in on it like I Gotcha, eeeh.

I feel as tho the conversational lupe will attract more fans to him just as food and liqour did. Food & L is arguably one of the greatest rap albums of all time. So if Lupe goes back to his food n liqour flow as a conversational rapper more people are going to be able to identify with him and eventually become a fan of his music. I expect him to return to conceptional lu tho after this album because he is as creative as anyone.

I like the concept of it being about social issues and social interactions I guess... It goes with this new Lupe who climbs mountains and speaks about history to raise awareness.. so for some reason it doesn't surprise me. I like Pharrel but ya, he produces more poppy stuff... and I get sick of his songs really quickly because of this (the beat eventually drives me insane.) And by Keena you meant Kenna right? Unless there's someone else... but again he's more upbeat and poppy. I'm seeing a trend! annnnd.... Suddenly I am having mixed feelings about this album?

lager? I thought p was more an ale man. you sound like a bitter guy. But how have they sold out? Making a few pop songs (which he was doing from the get go) to make some money is quite a normal thing to do. If you call it selling out then fine.

@ TAY I'm not sure he released this information via a performance. And i agree Wale is a good artists (especially compared to rappers nowadays) But i think Wale's flow is horribleeee, and his voice on a mic is yuck! Which is the only reason why i dont listen to em. BTW Idk about you but i loved the "And He gets the Girl" type songs. Lupe paints the picture beautifully. 2Ways sounded amazing to me and so did "Ladies and Gentlemen" Sooo this album is going to be hotttt. It will definitely put Lupe's music on the radio that's for sure.

I've heard all those Snippets and was not impressed. Lupe Fiasco on Social Issues and Social Interactions is similar to Wale for me. They are like really cheesy straight to DvD movies, or B movies you see on t.v. Plus, yeh... Neptunes, plus that feature list? Sounds like this album is gonna be poppy, much like I Gotcha... yet, with Social Issues and interactions -_- mmeehh. Just drop that other mix tape already...

The social issues and social interactions? What? I'll approach the idea of a Neptune influece on any album with trepidation considering how hit or miss they are these days.
