    Ive looked forever on the internet trying to find anyone talking about Theme Music to a Drive By and i found nothing. Ive been listening to it for a long time and Im still confused on what exactly its about. I got my own opinion on what it means but i wanna hear what everyone else thinks.

    Anyone got any ideas???

i think he's saying after everything is destroyed, he's still willing to rebuild the image of hip hop & its " the calming comes through after disasters' have, But this calm has the same fury that disasters have" meaning he's gonna rebuilt with the same intensity of a disaster favorite song off the mixtape

ohhhh ok ok thats still sick. in Thank You off enemy of the state when hes like "i aint the bomb, im the company that got the contract, the rebuilder and the aftermath, have a blast. goin green only usin half the gas, the comet comes thru after disasters have" think hes sayin hes not the shit or whatever like wayne and all them that are fuckin up hip hop, but hes the one who comes after and cleans everything up. i never get to talk about lu with anyone bc everyone i know wont listen to him. and even the ones that do are dumb as fuck and dont understand shit hes sayin lol

naw i dnt think its a wayne reference bcuz its "wane" & he's talking about having devious skills ain't nothing when you hang around killas, them devious tricks & tactics become nonexistent "wane" : have a progressively smaller part of its visible surface illuminated, so that it appears to decrease in size

To me, one of the deepest lines in the 1st verse is "When they was on back of a nickel like Monticello, When the underworld had to be smarter than Donatello, No honor amongst fellows" its like he just compared a whole bunch of eras all at once....... good discussion topic

yeah it def has to be way deeper. "declarin war on the deck like they the joker, all while duckin from bruce wayne while they poker...."hello my name" stickers on the stickers of the veins in rehab, remembering the feelins when they used to get mellow....no honor amoungst fellows, its harder than sittin wit a blind man and tryin to describe yellow" that whoole verse is one of the best ive heard

@Jthompsh thats exactly what i was thinking cuz its sort of like, even if you in the car when someone does a drive by, you just as guilty cuz you did nothing to stop & if you around somethin long enough it becomes your theme...... that's the basic idea i got from it but, i know its much deeper than that

guilty by association is what im thinkin kinda. i think its like him talkin about a dude becoming corrupt with a gang and stuff and gettin put in rehab and stuff and then the second verse is about lupe or someone else going to counsel this guy who is in rehab or jail. and its called theme music to a drive by bc its like the same life story for everyone who would be in a car doing a drive by or something... idk. thats just what i get from it. one of my favs tho
