    I love rap, but all rap is either too explicit and violent or I just cannot relate. Although Lupe may rap about certain explicit things, I feel that I can relate to most of his music!

The most unique thing I find about him compared to other rappers how coherent he is with his lyrics, and it's not just with 2 or 4 bars. In enemy of the state mix tape Turnt Up in the last verse he explains what he does a lot of the time. How he ties a bomb (metaphor) on to another verse and his verses ride on the setting and metaphor he created from the beginning. They also make sense and give a either a life lesson or a educational value to it, or it's just clever something clever. But most of all the vivid pictures he can create when you just listen to his lyrics. He can really get you to empathize his point of views.

I don't really think of him as a rapper in my mind...like yes I know he raps, but that's just a verb to me. He's one of my favorite artists though

Because he's the first rapper of his kind. He's like Nas with better and more creative story-telling + an amazing imagination, and the ability to articulate that imagination vividly and relevantly. Dude's the best there is; and that's not even on some fanboyism type isht.

i like him b/c i dont see him as a rapper really kinda like a poet. he has a great ability of storytelling and every line literally means something. he doesnt make shit just to have a catchy chorus or make a dance and be popular. thats why i like him, he is unique and makes quality music

Cuz he raps very (his lyrics are very unique)uniquely. There are many rappers that spit knowledge but Lupe does it in such creative ways. Those other rappers sound the same to me. Not saying they are bad but they don't really stick out.But Lupe, that's my inspiration when I write my rhymes.
