Ive seen him live twice, Once at MSG glow in the dark tour, It was by far the most amazing show i have seen in a big place like that, and when Jay came out and played Jocking Jay-z with Kanye the place went nuts! Lupe was killin it that night even if he stuck to the basic stuff, and to get to see kanye, pharrell, jay and lupe all at the same concert was the greatest gift of all! The other time was at this little place near where i live called The Stanley, its in Upstate NY, there were mabye 100-150 people there, and he played some mix tape stuff and his energy was at the tops, he was all over the stage, that just blew my mind being so close I got wrapped up in it and didnt have a voice for a week, he told us he was gonna retire after lupE.N.D. at that concert and i about died, I was like NO WAY!!! but im glad to see him coming out with all this new music now, greatest performer ever!!

I think so. I can't remember which was which because i think they were only like a few months a part. Isn't it crazy how much his set has changed? Its definitely got the rock vibe to it, he still has the crazy energy but its def a different feel. Thoughts?

Yeah, I was there, the BC show during Go Go Gadget Flow right?
paristokyo_3's picture

I forgot which show it was at, it was either BC or Holy Cross, but some idiot jumped on stage. You remember that?
paristokyo_3's picture

lol. i honestly don't remember. all i could remember from the show for the most part was being annoyed as hell from everyone pushing when i was standing up front so i ended up just standing towards the side where there was more room. i have a few videos up on youtube that i recorded of the opening of kanyes set. as well as some from NERD. i know its necessary for artists to go the "college tour" route, but its really annoying for real fans who get toppled over by pushy college freshmen. its def a small world. im sure we will end up being in the same spots again once he announces any more shows in MA.

THAT WAS YOU? oh shit that video changed my life x). yeah that's what I learned all the words for the show from Also, i think it's amazing how we went to all the same shows. I ask this type of thing compulsively; did you see me? I had like shoulder length curly hair back then I was at the front front of the line at Holy Cross.

@overdose i was there too! have you seen my video on youtube? i don't think i recorded any when i was at the Holy Cross show, the crowd was really annoying. too many tweens for my liking. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naX2VQk2AZc i was also at the Boston College show as well as the one at Holy Cross. I went to both Glow in The Dark tour concerts at Tweeter Center and also flew to Chicago to watch him throw it down in his home city. its crazy how much love chi town has for him. can't wait for the next one.

Paristokyo I have the same hoodie. I happen to be wearing it right now lol. Glow in the Dark 3 times (He had an extended set on the final show that lasted like 1.5 hours), The Cool Tour, and twice on the last one. I was the only one there who knew about Shining Down when he performed it at Holy Cross, and I got the "Yeah you know what you're doing" look from Lupe when I was singing along. I was so proud xD

@xtinabiz thats a shame lupe live is unlike any other performance ive ever seen. im hoping, like many other lupe fans that he does an official U.S. tour and takes on as many cities if not more than some other larger acts.

My heart is broken I never saw lupe live when the glow in the dark tour came to NC I was broke and it was sold out, I went to the Jay z concert, b/c it was around the same time. But I guess he's too big for Greensboro, NC.

Nothing about Lupe is really mainstream though, i just don't see him going that route even though he is signed to atlantic. I think the reason why he has so many diehard fans is because he just is himself and doesn't do anything purely for shock value/ or to get rich. the day lu turns into a mainstream rapper is the day ill probably stop listening to him. part of his likeness is that his true fans know everything about him. its kind of like you either know about him or not at all. LU IN BOSTON IS A MUST.

Yea, it was glow in the dark. and he could definatly sell out a big arena now by himself, but he'd probably stick to a more mainstreme playlist for the fans there.
paristokyo_3's picture

Is anyone as anxious as i am for an OFFICIAL tour? Im sick of going to the college shows, or ones where Lu isn't headlining.
paristokyo_3's picture

I agree with you sirron, ive been to the show at the tweeter center boston, Glow In The Dark Tour right? I was really disappointed and how empty the center was for his performance. He deserves a room filled with his true fans, that know his music. And he deserves to be the headliner at a show.

I've only seen lupe twice live. At Mohegan sun and The Tweeter Center for other people's venues. I think it would be real cool if while on tour he made a few special spots at small indoor venues where the place would be packed with lu heads and not only would he do album songs but tracks from his mixtapes (old and new)
