See.. I got this philosophy right I think the world, and everything in it Is made up of a mix, of two things You got your good, ya know, and your bad You got your food, and your liquor

Ok...my favorite song by u would mos def be Daydreamin with Jill Scott. Why? First of all you sampled a song...and made something with meaning that tells a story. Any other atrists would have made something meaningless. Second...you chose someone with actual talent to sing the chorus, which shows how much u appreciate talented musicians. Lastly, u call out the garbage that "rappers" make and think is good music...which is very impressive. Lupe ive been a fan of u and uve been my favorite MC since u blessed Touch The Sky with Kanye...and u are insanely under-appreciated! Artists now-a-days need to hear Daydreamin...so they can jus quit and stop makin music (Waka Flocka for example) Thats my favorite song and why...and also why I deserve a poster 8D

It's really hard to pick, but my favorite Lupe song ever is "The Coolest." I absolutely love this song from The Cool, which is my favorite album. I love how poetic and unique the song is. You don't hear many rap songs out here like this track. I fall in love every time I hear it! I also love the background instrumentals. The metaphors and analogies he uses in this song is amazinggg. This song really portrays how deep of a rapper lupe is.

Glory, off of Fahrenheit 1/15 Part II: Revenge of the Nerds. I've been following Lupe since 04 and the first time that I heard Glory it brought tears to my eyes, I almost broke down. I was going through a really rough time in my life and that song helped me through it. Not only did it help me through it but it inspired me to become a better person. It made me decide to be a more active human being. It made me drop listening to ear candy and develop a taste for food for thought. It made me open my eyes and realize that we are in a simulated reality controlled by our government. Any time I'm feeling down I listen to that song and it brings me right back up to myself. It still remains my favorite song to this day. I made countless friends sit down and listen to it while reading the lyrics in hopes that they would feel the same way as me. Through all of it though, it helped me realize that when you are intelligent and enlightened that all you want to do is spread that same feeling of peace, love, & understanding, but sadly, you can show people water, but can't make them drink it. It even inspired me to become an artist myself, and I know one day Lu and I will work together, but until that day...I'm going to respect the position I play, never letting my heart reflect the conditions in which I stay.

I think its IMPOSSIBLE to just pick one favorite song, so I'm gonna have give a quick breakdown on my top 5 :) BMF: I love the switch up into POSITIVE lyrics, shining some light on people like Malcolm X and Martin Luther, verses Big Meech and Larry Hoover. And the idea of "building minds faster" is just beautiful. Words I Never Said: Who doesn't love and respect a song that speaks nothing but the truth?! (You want the realness? Well, I gotcha!) Go To Sleep: (#1 on my itunes with almost 800 plays!) :D CRAZY wordplay and metaphors! It seems like I catch something new every time I listen to this song. This is an eargasmic song at its greatest. Put You On Game: The lyrics and the way Lupe dictates the words is incredible. His style of rapping is so unique, unlike anything I've ever heard before. This song has a flow thats on a whole 'nother level of UNTOUCHABLE. Beautiful Lasers: Lyrics that cut so deep, its been a LONG time since I've had a song that touches my soul the way that this one does. I love to see the positivity and bright energy that came from such a dark and negative time. Remember, love always shines :)

Gold Watch - Since the first listen, I just got so hooked, I loved the lyrics and beat, and it overall just made me feel some (nerdy) goodness!

First off, its nearly impossible to pick one song overall which encompasses lupe's true swag and meaning. But if i had to choose one song from Lu's most recent album, i would have to pick ALL BLACK EVERYTHING. At first it seems odd because he mentions alot about race and its impact on the world. but he soon turns it into a beautiful picture of the world without stereotypes and racism. This is currently my favorite lupe song because it hits the soul and leads people to see past current "slowly" dying trends like racism. He has a great message that should reach everybody in our culture. Lupe fan for life!

My favorite song is The Show Goes On because I see it as a metaphor to the Life Goes On and no matter what happens good or bad we have to continue living and try to make the world a better place to live for our future generations!

Hip Hop Saved My Life is my favorite Lupe song because the song is so simple yet it has a great story, flow, and hook

My favorite song of one of the few real rappers today is Never Forget You because it is nice to hear when you lose someone that you care about in your life, I also like Legend's voice in the song.

Wow choosing just one song as a favorite is nearly impossible Lupe has so much talent and to many amazing songs to choose from. My favorite from his newer stuff would have to be Im Beamin. I would jam that song every single day. Stereo Sun is also another song that I like. But all time favorite is Paris Tokyo. Im not even to sure why but it is.

My favourite Lupe Fiasco song is "Daydreamin'" Craig Kallman's sublime production is instantly catchy, with Jill Scott's soulful, vibrant vocals brilliantly revitalising the Monster I's original song. The melody itself is an unforgettable, unique and catchy hook that is driving and purposeful. Lupe's addition to the song is equally unforgettable, as his lyrics seethe with pent-up aggression, delivered with style and panache. The first verse is filled with metaphors and intelligent observations on Ghetto life, whilst the second verse takes a satirical stance on hardcore rap videos as Lupe's laudable lyrics sarcastically cite predictable, cliched and immoral depictions of gang violence, lustful sexism and idiotic, excessive money spending that the genre is fraught with. All in all, it is a witty, intelligent track that breaks the mould with pride, vigour and style, aided with brilliant musicianship and a powerful message, told with cryptic lyricism that never fails to inform and surprise...

Lupe has so many good tracks that I've listened to a billion times. But the track that I've listened to the most has to be "I Gotcha". There are several good lines in this track but the one that really gets me going, especially when being performed live is "And I'm From Chi-Town That's Where I Flies 'Round". Always reppin' that Chi-Town. FnF UP!!

Damn I gotta pick 1 song? Well hmm if its just one I gotta go with Lupe The Killer! Hes been killing everybody since he came out and that song goes hard. Perfect to vibe to while doing anything. Play some Black Ops with that ish in the background I go hard lmao

Glory off Fahrenheit 1/15 right now, from the start Lupe came at the facades in rap, and the struggle of how to break away from that perception. "The truth is limitless in its range, if you drop a T, look at it in reverse, it could hurt, look at the grimaces of the pain"

I love all of Lu's songs, but if i have to choose one that means a great deal to me, it will be "coming up" from the Lasers album. i have always wanted a big brother, but never had one and i have always assumed my big bro would say the things Lu says in "coming up".

I signed up here YEARS AGO. Favorite artist and the best at it.

It's confusion Lupe...You are one of my favourite artist. You have composed and written many songs that talk about reality and your life experience. i can't select a song because all your songs are my favourite :) you deserve fans like us and we deserve you as our favourite artist. Love you from India. God bless you.

Mean & Vicious from the Fahrenheit 1/15 mixtapes. This song demonstrates why Lupe is the king of double entendres and why his flow is unmatchable. Few rappers can twist words with pronunciations and placement the way he can and he does plenty of that in this song. It also shows how Carrera can bringto life, disect, and explain subjects noone else can, for example the second verse when he explains his mind set about second verses. My favorite quote is "They stand in awe like when did you write that, They even right black. First verse already happened, So he don't have a chance to fight back. I like that". Sure Mr. Fiasco may have many more meaningful and insightful songs but I love how he flexes his lyrical muscles in this song, Super Lupe Lyrical!

Dumb it Down - I've noticed a lot of parallels between George Orwell and Lupe. I think Dumb it Down is a skillful critique of the "Party," "dying metaphors," and "Newspeak" (1984) that you find in hip-hop music. The metaphors in Dumb it Down are ridiculous and the song inspired me to write a paper on politics in the hip-hop industry and the hip-hop language.

my favourite Lupe Fiasco song has to be either Intruder Alert or Beautiful Lasers (2 Ways) the reason I chose these songs is because they both speak of real life, struggles of the life everyone lives and how it is to be a famous people. Also the beats and lyrics are both some of the best i've ever heard that's why I chose these songs.
uconnking's picture

My favorite Lupe song is Intruder alert because in my opinion it points out very important struggles in life and in society....the 1st verse is important in society because nobody really thinks about how much rape hurts u mentally through the years not just the initial act..but like Lupe said it is really hard to trust somebody and get over something like that...the 2nd verse i feel in a way relates to me because all i ever wanted was somebody to love me, and not getting it brings a lot of depression and thats like the hell you construct but i learned how to be happy and be positive through horrible situations, and the 3rd verse is the most important because people look at immigrants from mexico as a negative thing it should make this country proud that people would go that far to get into a country that will discriminate them when they get here, and no one thinks bout it like this, if this country was built on immigrants then maybe the immigrants of today are going to be a big impact on a positive future look at what African Americans who were taken here...they have created at lot of things that we use daily today and things that we NEED to use daily, so i feel that the immigrants today can help us better our already fragile country and i feel if more people listen to that song and actually thought bout what it said they would possibly see things that way.

My favorite Lupe song has got to be All Black Everything because it's sick how much better the world would be if the events were flipped like Lupe was talking about. I feel like that is what this world would be like if Lupe was president. It's hard to pick just one though, cause he has been my favorite rapper forever and all his lyrics are thought provoking and are just actually meaningful and none of that look at my cars, my money, and my hoes. Lupe's real genuine rap that way too many people overlook when talking about the best rapper alive.

My favourite song is hurt me soul! without a doubt, probably the most amazing song i'v e ever heard. Always gets to me every time i listen to it. The lyrics, the bridges between the verses, the music! I swear, nothing can match that song! That song is what got me into Lupe fiasco back in 2006. He has been my favourite artist since then. F&L 2 FTW!
zace18's picture

My favorite song would have to be Glory from the fahrenheit mixtapes... this song is great and my personal favorite because lupe just sends a positive message, a very beautiful one at that... the song just speaks and moves me every time i listen to it and just reminds me of my love for music and for HIPHOP. much love lasers and lupe cant wait for F&L2!! busy watup
