"so out of the trillions of number in the world just leave me a few that lead to you, wont be long i'll see you in the morning COO" Sunshine for real. I used that line on a girl... she is currently my girlfriend now. and i cant forget "we On" with you and gemstone. I was rockin that song for a long time. Its part of my ultimate lupe playlist.

My favorite Lupe Fiasco song right now is "Go To Sleep" because it just puts me in the most peaceful and relaxed mindset, and gets me thinking about certain things in life, like can I go to sleep right now am I angry at anyone? Is anyone angry at me? Can I go to sleep now? I literally LOVE and appreciate every song that Lupe records and respect everything that you do. Peace and love from the Middle East, We believe in what you are doing God bless you, Salam, Mohamed

My favorite song is the streets are on fire. Its a song that you can fit any meaning into and it will work, its so general yet feels personal.

My favorite song by Lupe is "All Black Everything." This song is lyrical genius. The play on the words "all black everything," is poetry. Upon closing their eyes, a person can imagine the proposed world of the song freely. Also, when one closes their eyes, there is no light, therefore only black can be “seen.” The intertwining of poetry references is astounding and displays Lupe's true talent as a lyricist. "Now we can do nothing about the past" is a reference to Shakespeare's “Whereof what’s past is prologue; what to come, In yours and my discharge." He also references what Immortal Technique said, "You can’t change the past but you can make the future." This song is a piece of artwork, it gives rap a good name and truly displays the thought and intelligence that comes with songwriting. Keep up the good work Lupe, your true (nerdy) fans love the entendres, the metaphors and concept songs!

Beautiful Lasers - It is by far the best and most spine tingling song that Lupe Fiasco has made. It such a magnificent that takes all your downs and makes them ups. It makes your frown a smile. The word play is amazing and the beat and JUST everything about this song is phenomenal. It gets me thinking every time.

I think its IMPOSSIBLE to just pick one favorite song, so I'm gonna have give a quick breakdown on my top 5 :) BMF: I love the switch up into POSITIVE lyrics, shining some light on people like Malcolm X and Martin Luther, verses Big Meech and Larry Hoover. And the idea of "building minds faster" is just beautiful. Words I Never Said: Who doesn't love and respect a song that speaks nothing but the truth?! (You want the realness? Well, I gotcha!) Go To Sleep: (#1 on my itunes with almost 800 plays!) :D CRAZY wordplay and metaphors! It seems like I catch something new every time I listen to it. This is an eargasmic song at its greatest. Put You On Game: The lyrics and the way Lupe dictates the words is incredible. His style of rapping is so unique, unlike anything I've ever heard before. This song has a flow that's on a whole 'nother level of UNTOUCHABLE. Beautiful Lasers: Lyrics that cut so deep, its been a LONG time since I've had a song that touches my soul the way that this one does. I love to see the positivity and bright energy that came from such a dark and negative time. Remember, love always shines

I would definitely say that one of my favorites by Lupe is Yoga Flame. This freestyle is pure lyrical genius, and keeps my inspiration at an all time high. Instead of mindlessly listening for a nice beat, I focus on the words, and the complex metaphors that fascinate fans everywhere come time and time again. Lupe Fiasco, keep us thinking.

Can't pick just one song, but I'll say "the cool" awesome story, inspired a whole album, and that last line of the 3rd verse is so strong, and I don't think I've ever skipped it when my ipod's on shuffle. LASERS!

"Streets on fire" I basically spent two months studying that song because it was so great. From the story to the message, the metaphor, not to mention the crazy good lyrics and hook. This song has change how creative I can be when it comes to writing

Dumb It Down. I love the metaphors and wordplay plus this song says everything about Lupe's music. It there are any doubters out there, or any people who don't know what Lupe is about, all they have to do is listen to this song. FNF Up!

"Words I Never Said" I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education. So referencing budget cuts in schools hits home. Lupe is true hip hop, speaking the truth... not like those rapping about b*tches and hoes.

One of my favourite Lupe songs is Lupe the Killer from Revenge of the Nerds mixtape because the wordplay is beyond crazy in that song and each phrase can be translated into 897624590 different meanings. However, if I had to choose a favourite Lupe song from one of his albums (which is not easy), that would be Put You on Game because it sends out a great message of the ills of society + govt in such a genius way with the use of many dope metaphors :).

My favorite song is definitely "The Coolest". Flow's incredible, lyrics are fantastic and the beat is sick. And it's the first song that I heard from Lupe so this is definitely my favorite :)! (Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Quebec so I speak french!)

I love the new album Lasers but my favorite Lupe song is not on this album but on The Cool and my favorite song is "the coolest." This song exemplifies the reality of a common goal amongst many urban youths. A common determination that ultimately leads to self destruction in urban communities.

Words I Never Said. because whenever I am in an argument, heated debate, disscussion, or even just an everyday conversation, the song reminds me to never hold back what I'm thinking or feeling, because 'as I drown in my regrets, I can't take back the words I never said.' Truly inspiring. It makes you think twice about what is happening in the world and what you can do about it. All of us can start by simply voicing our opinions and standing up for what is right.

"Kick Push" My favorite song cause Lupe did something different with this song. He rapped about skateboarding and actually made it a cool song for both the underground and the mainstream. But mainstream or underground Lupe Fiasco is still a beast.

My favourite track is Never forget you of Lasers because its so moving, the lyrics reach me every morning,i have never felt the pain of physical death but my heart has been ripped apart by someone who is now dead to me,its my morning track...without fail,i hear it everyday.
dtj41's picture

"He Say, She Say" The original "Kick, Push" was the song that actually made me a fan of Lupe, but "He Say, She Say" tells a story about a boy without a Dad. It has real soul in it; you can feel Lupe really feels strongly about it. Shit, the whole Food and Liquor album is great. "Sunshine" is really good, too. Fuck, I CAN'T DECIDE!! Lol.

To me.. "Till I get there" is ONE of my many favorites.... all his songs are incredible.. but "till I get there" is so amazing.. "i'ma keep it cool and ima do me" "yeah i got flaws i know i'm not perfect" it's amaazing...

Well, since Lasers was terribly except for a few songs my favorite would have to be "The Instrumental." Lyrically great, and different.

My favorite Lupe song would probably be "Muhammad Walks." I liked how it was able to educate many about Islam with Lupe's brilliant lyrics. My favorite lyrics are: "...through Ramadan we starve Though you not eatin, there's a feedin of the mind A defeatin of the demons, a seein' of the sign..."

Handcuffs. One of your earlier mixtape songs yet it really embodies the political messages that you are/have been trying to describe. fire.

"Muhammad Walks" I can't even explain in words how much myself and the people around me can relate to everything Lupe says.
