@ladypangea It's only been a few days since the show and people just finally started getting refunds so the storm is dying down. You would not be baffled if you were THERE. Complaining about the complaining only means more complaining.

I wish some of you people would stop complaining. I mean damn if a missed appearance here or a bad song there is all that it takes for you to fall out of favor with Lupe, then you were never a true grassroots Lupe fan to begin with. At least he apologized for it... some artists don't even do that and steadily make excuses and shit. That's bullshit in my opinion. Personally, I feel that nothing about Lupe is bullshit. What you see is what you get and what you hear is the truth. "The truth stings like Mohammed Ali." It sure does.

Lupe, i still Love you... and "911 building 7 did they really pull it" shall forever be etched in my brain as a revolutionary song among bullshit... but dude, there was so much hype about this show--the PROMOTERS were calling us 21-year-olds, telling us that we might meet you at the after party. And then the fuckers kicked us outta the party after about an hour of paying for over-priced drinks. You're my favorite artist out there, but i'm with the skeptics this time. You could have told us to our faces or made sure we were taken care of or given us a few more songs or something. i see no explanation above on why you ducked out after 32 minutes of play. Like i said, i still Love you brother... but c'mon. You should track down everyone who felt like they weren't treated right and make it up to them. "See you at the real show..." i don't have money for the real show brotha. All my $$$ was spent that night.

Im a very calm and rationale person, BUT COME THE F**K ON. This comment is directed toward all the "Lasers" who just refuse to get off the soap box. FIRST, they were all pissed because Lupe didn't acknowledge nor apologize for what happened at the HOB. THEN, when he does, he's lying, or should have done it sooner. Nor is the refund enough. NOW, the press has the audacity to hit him where it hurts and accuse him of not caring for his fans? GTFOH "My heart's been broke for awhile, Yours been the one keeping me alive" He's still apologizing on twitter, you can tell he's hurt by this! I hope he doesn't end up doing anything crazy, because that would be tragic.

it wasnts lupes fault maybe other forces were stoping him you never know what can happen or what was intended to happen. the point is he didnt know that all this miscommunication (intended or unintended) was going on. the point is, he drove drove just to make that appearence for chicago. so what what about the money it comes and goes but as for lasers the show goes on..

Lupe, I've always been a fan of everything you do and always supported you. But, this time you need to take some blame here. If you saw how it was being promoted, why would you assume the fans would know that it's just a "party"? Fans paid 5x the ticket price just to see you!!!! Maybe you should have looked into how it was being promoted. Or at least put out a statement letting us know that it wasn't a concert. As for being late. That's on you and your crew. No excuse for not having gas. Seriously? Shit happens, but don't use it as an excuse. You are still the best artist there is and I will never knock your skills or your message. Just don't ever take your fans for granted......

Some of these fans are insane. If YOU choose to drive for hours, stand in the cold, and pay exorbitant amounts of money just for a brush with fame, you probably deserve whatever the fuck happens. THAT WAS YOUR CHOICE. How are you gonna blame an outside force for ruining what YOU created as some sort of fantasy night? Shit happens. Learn to fucking deal with it and be glad you're even experiencing the privilege of seeing art happen. Own your choices. Lupe is a human being at the end of the day. We're all allowed to have some days worse than others, and just because he is a high profile person doesn't mean he needs to cater to your every fucking need. Be glad that he's even producing music and entertainment for you, and STFU. Love. We all know what L's capable of. Plain and simple.

@Marvel....I completely agree. D@mn, all of the complaining from Lu's fans as of late has gotten annoying. Stop actng like entitled brats. Jesus, people make mistakes! This apology means nothing, you should have addressed us at the HOB instead of over the internet!!! You had to have heard everyone yelling out WTF or Bullshit after you hurried through your songs and then just left. I have been to 2 of your shows and I don't know who the hell came out on stage that night, it sure as hell wasn't Lupe Fiasco that performed in Peoria or at North Coast. And you were on Ramadan during North Coast. You could have used these social networking sites to reach out to your fans before the show to let them know what was going on. The only reason I knew about the show was because you posted it on your Twitter account!!! ??? I can't even listen to your music anymore without getting pissed off at what you put the fans through!! A girl fainted in the crowd because it was so hot and cramped, and all we got was a couple of half assed songs and a narcissistic grin at the end!! Your fans don't care if it was a free event for you since you donated the proceeds. It's not about the money, it's about the fact that we went to see someone that we all believed in and truly respected, and we got slapped in the face! As stated earlier, an apology at the HOB was required! I drove 3 hours, stood in the cold for 2 hours, and waited 4 more hours at the HOB to see bullshit!

all that show was about was making the quick dollar on some loyal fans, and of course all the people at the house of blues AS well as lupe himself gaineed from that expierence. I refuse to buy lasers now because it seems as if lupe cheated his own people, do you think somebody who really "believed in the people" would doop his audience in the way that he did to a "cd release party".

What was he talking about when he said "see you in a few months for the real concert"?? theres nothing listed on the Tour page....I wanted to see him last Halloween but he cancelled the show because he said he had something big planned for Chicago when Lasers dropped.....forreal that 30 min show was a tease, I need to see a real Lupe show!!!!!
