This is NOT worthy of Lasers. I think everybody who likes this song is either a fan of the mainstream, is not a 'TRUE' Lupe fan, or they have been waiting for a single for so long that they're just happy to have something new. Maybe a combination of all of those reasons. I, however, hate the mainstream, I have been a fan of Lupe since the 1st/15th mixtapes, and I am not just happy to have a new single. I was blown away by 'Shining Down' and 'I'm Beamin', but 'The Show Goes On' doesn't even come close to impressing me. I'm just a fan with constructive criticism, and I know that this is nothing close to Lupe's album potential. This song is not worth putting on a real Lupe Fiasco album, let alone being a single. It's probably only good enough to be on 'Friend of the People', if that were ever released. Lupe, you can do much, much better than this, and you know it. I hope this is only a hiccup, because I don't want to be disappointed; especially since we've all been waiting for 2 and a half years for this album. You're better than this single.
Personally, I think Lu killed it on this track. I think the people saying they'd be "disappointed" in LASERS if it's like this song are paying too much attention to the beat of the song. Lu is still Lu with his lyrics, he's preaching the whole idea of the LASERS Manifesto in the song. Again...I love the song, Lu killed it, and is it March 8th yet?

I love Lupe to death, but if this song is any indication of how his album is going to turn out I'll be disappointed. Lupe represents a lot more than all this mainstream crap on the radio, and for his song to sound like he was going for a top 40 hit is disappointing. Rap and pop's greatest enemy is autotune, I hate to see Lupe fall to it.
Im prob gonna buy like a dozen copies of Lasers, for the next year, for every gift occasion, they gettin lasers!! I think its amazing gift!!! mad respect Lu, come to vancouver bc! Love to see you perform live!!
After atleast a year of anticipation for anything related to LASERS, we finally have our single! Generation LASERS got it done.. support! support! support!.. still cant wait for march 8th. Lets make LASERS as big as it should be.. buy this single!
song is so moving and touches your soul... i love real music. lupe is the g.o.a.t right now and damm everybody is sleeping on him.. but i hope lasers puts him on the charts and finally he will get the respect of being the best. LASER FAMILY!!!!!!
