Al-Sadi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: this includes all manner of haraam speech, all idle talk and falsehood, and all nonsense that encourages kufr and disobedience; the words of those who say things to refute the truth and argue in support of falsehood to defeat the truth; and backbiting, slander, lies, insults and curses; the singing and musical instruments of the Shaytaan; and musical instruments which are of no spiritual or worldly benefit. (Tafseer al-Sadi, 6/150)

I'm sorry MoonWalk Eternal but you're totally off point. Kid Cudi's music is very very deep, and teh beauty of it is that his lyrics are not too intricate to comprehend like Lupe's. It always struck me how many of his fans don't get just how tragic his music is.
Man on the Moon will always be one of my favourite albums. The genre is unclassifiable and the metaphor of the whole album as the story of his life thus far and as him sleeping through the night having nightmares, night terrors, lucid dreams, random thoughts and stuff is just excellent. He's captured several emotions that I never could if I tried, and I like to consider myself as something of a poet.
Don't let his demeanour fool you. Also, if you've seen the tragedy of some people on weed and stuff like I have you wouldn't dismiss his lyrics so easily. Looking forward to a Lupe collabo.

He's chill and all, but dude has no substance in his rhymes. All he does is talk about weed, except for like three songs, this being one of them.
He has potential and hopefully he improves, but as of now he isn't much of a rapper. His beats and melodies are dope, but he has no flow.
He actually makes cleveland sound better... I like this song. yeah Lu should think about doing some music with him so yall can come to cleveland. that would def sell out plus give lu more rep i n cleve cuz they on cudi's jock. but he reppin tho..that's cool! the vid was random, nothing special kinda better that way.
