haha, just wanted drop by your blog to let you know just how much i appreciate your music. im glad there’s finally someone out there now who has really changed hip-hop for the better. i’m still having a lot of trouble finding a place where i can buy your old mixtapes. i can’t get enough of your music! oh and btw my boyfriend and i are traveling all the way from Boston to see you in concert in your hometown of CHICAGO! Spent $1,200+!!

as a muslim living in the U.K i so respect the fact that Lupe is doing his thing out there and ending on a high..he got talent and real energy…would like to see more coverage of him over here..you lot are sooo lucky…even though i dnt listen 2 too much music..i think lupe is soo good at what he does and so fresh…allah has guided him now and he is a testiment to himself…

I paid 89$ to see LUPE and LUPE ONLY & missed you in Houston. Ever heard of a 28 yr old woman crying behind a concert? Welp - here’s a first. The moment I realized I was dealing with CP time friends, I told myself I didn’t even want to go anymore because I KNEW I was going to miss Lupe; and cue in the tears! I was running so late that the tickets I had for Dr. Teeth NEVER got picked up for him to go (sorry J) - again with the tears. “Don’t just give up CaT, let’s at least see” - of course we get there at freakin 7:15 - well I did after hopping out of the drivers seat in the middle of an intersection forcing my friend to park, as I RAN to the concert. I forgot I had my cam in my purse - tossed it REAL quick to a friend from the radio station and jipped the line, all awhile hearing “Superstar” blasting from the speakers. I finally get inside and I see the equipment crew taking off Lupe’s set; insert tears here.
I did get some joy when Lupe came out with N.E.R.D.S and Bun B. The energy given on stage for that brief moment was amazing. I waited alllll through Kayne’s set to see Lu come out as Darth Vader - never happened :/ BUTTTTT there was a guest appearance at the end - making my night pleasant but not GREAT! A pure fan of the music, lyrics and arrangement - not a ghetto, “that’s my baby daddy” fan because of looks - I had a shirt made earlier this week when I learned the radio station screwed me over with tickets; “Will F*ck For Lupe Tickets”. I ended up buying them on Wed but also learning that Crisco Kidd of PARTY 93.3 got some for me also - he appreciates my respect for Lu!
